The Fonville Morisey Lochmere office is located at the corner of Kildaire Farm Rd and Lochmere Drive in Cary. While we serve all areas of Wake County and beyond, we really wanted to hone in on the Lochmere Community for this piece. We are often asked, “What is it about Lochmere that is so appealing?” We thought we’d take this opportunity to tell you all about it!

There’s LOTS to LOVE about LOCHMERE!
When we relocated here seven years ago from California, we had the fortune of living anywhere in the U.S. we wanted. After a lot of research and house hunting trips through several states, we decided on North Carolina. After exploring the state, we decided Cary would be our next home and in particular, that our house would be in a neighborhood called Lochmere.
We instantly fell in love with the homes, trees, walking trails, lakes and ponds, and the recreational amenities. Over the years, we have grown to love the neighborhood even more. We are surrounded by the kindest neighbors and we’re close to major shopping, restaurants, and roadways.
A few years ago, our community pulled together and voted to acquire the privately held Swim and Tennis Facilities. Now, every homeowner in Lochmere has full access to these amenities including 10 tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, a clubhouse, and lots of activities from which to choose. From swim team and swim lessons, adult and youth tennis lessons and leagues, grill nights at the pool, book club, garden club, and travel club, triathlons and holiday celebrations, these are just a few of the fun things we do in Lochmere.
As a REALTOR® with the Fonville Morisey Realty Lochmere office, I now have the incredible opportunity to sell homes to clients in this neighborhood I love and call home.

Living in Lochmere is about choosing a lifestyle with the two lakes, two pools, greenways and parks…not to mention that Lochmere Golf Club is also located in our community too. “From condos to castles” would apply to Lochmere where it is possible to purchase a small townhome or condo under $200k or a mansion on the lake for over $1,000,000.
Walkability is a trendy phrase and it certainly applies to Lochmere. You can walk to shopping and restaurants, a coffee shop, to the pool or go for a stroll around the lake. With gas prices at an all time high, it is a huge savings to hoof it with your family to close by attractions. Convenience to the beltline, I-440, downtown Raleigh, and the Research Triangle Park make Lochmere among the top Cary neighborhoods.
My husband Wayne was President of the Lochmere HOA in the mid 90′s. It was a great experience and we got to know so many nice folks. We were also residents of Lochmere Fairways from 1990-1998 and have wonderful friends and memories from that experience.
Those are just some of the reasons the Lochmere community is a great place to live. As you can see, a couple of our Agents have chosen to make their homes here and they were thrilled to tell you why. As a matter of fact, our Gail Ferri, Jack James and Sara Siracuse have all found their home in & around the Lochmere community too!
