In an on-going digital partnership with the Carolina Ballet, we will be providing the organization with digital coverage for two performances this Season - An Evening of Robert Weiss, the first show of the Season, and 2012′s presentation of The Nutcracker in December. Last weekend, over 40 Fonville Morisey family members together with their guests attended the Saturday night performance of An Evening of Robert Weiss. Fonville Morisey served as Performance Sponsor.
To open the 15th Season of the Carolina Ballet (We know! Hard to believe they’ve only been performing in the Triangle for 15 years, huh?), the Ballet Company thought it would be extra special to feature some of the ballets created by Artistic Director, Robert Weiss. While the centerpiece of the evening was Symposium based on Plato’s dialogue, which was magnificently choreographed, it was the new work Meditation that received the first standing ovation of the evening. In a word it was stunning. Of course, the whole evening was sensational!
