Not only did it exceed the total from last year’s Drive but, it FAR exceeded it by 1000lbs!
CONGRATULATIONS to each of our offices at Fonville Morisey Realty for an impressive job done this year as we strove to help the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina in raising donations and awareness for Kids Summer Stock 2012.

Fonville Morisey Realty Sales Associates recently celebrated “Christmas in July” by challenging one another to see which office could collect the most donations for the Food Bank. This July, each office filled Santa bags provided by the Fonville Morisey Marketing Department. The top overall winner with 100% participation and over 700lbs of food collected went to the Croasdaile office in Durham. The Inside The Beltline, Highway 54 (Durham) and Stonehenge offices weren’t far behind with at least 400lbs of donations from each office.
Linda Fisher, Special Events & Food Drive Manager for the Food Bank, presented a plaque to Grace Jones, Manager of the Croasdaile office, and thanked everyone for their participation in the program.
“We really appreciate all the support FM Realty has given the Food Bank over the years. It is amazing not only in the quantity but in the fact that you do it year after year, and with such enthusiasm!”
Here’s a video from the special presentation to our Croasdaile office for winning the competition:

Overall, Fonville Morisey collected over 3,000lbs of donations during the one month food drive, surpassing last year’s total of 2,000lbs.
Each year, Fonville Morisey Realty reaches out to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina in some way, as part of its commitment to supporting the nonprofit agency’s efforts to alleviate hunger across the Triangle.
The public can help the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina programs by making a donation or organizing a food drive in the workplace or neighborhood. Donations may be made online at foodbankcenc.org or brought to their Durham or Raleigh branches Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
Again, thank you to EVERYONE who contributed to make this happen! Whether you donated, volunteered, or delivered donations to one of the Food Bank’s local branches, this year’s food drive would not have been such a success. Thank YOU for making it a “Christmas in July” for the children in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas!
