Fonville Morisey Realty, a Long & Foster Company, announced earlier today that Renee Daniels has joined the team as the Relocation Director for the Triangle Region. She will work closely with Camille Mims, who was recently promoted to Regional Director for Southern Virginia and North Carolina for Fonville Morisey’s parent company, Long & Foster. We asked Renee a few questions about her new role and here is what she had to say about joining Fonville Morisey:
Tell us what you’re new role will entail.
I will be responsible for the operations in the Relocation Division as well as the account management of the Triangle Region client base, which includes relocation management companies, corporate clients, affinity programs and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World partnerships. I will identify new sources of business, form strong strategic partnerships with our client base, assist companies in their recruiting efforts, all the while staying current on relocation policies & procedures. One of my favorite things to do is to help clients create and deliver relocation service solutions for their companies and transferees. When I can make a difference for them, it makes all the hard work and effort worth it.
I’m also excited to work closely with local Economic Development teams and Department of Commerce officials in recruiting and retaining companies in the Triangle Area to enhance the region’s economic vitality. Hopefully, my passion for our community shines through in everything I do to enhance it through this position. (Side note – we think it will!)
You’ve had a successful career in this arena. Tell us about some of your past positions.
Well, I began my career as a Senior Account Executive with Oakwood Worldwide, the world’s largest provider of temporary housing. While I found the position to be very rewarding I was anxious to expand my career in relocation and I joined Allen Tate Relocation in the Triangle as Corporate Services Manager. I have now made the transition to Fonville Morisey and I’m really looking forward to it.
Let’s expand on that. What are you MOST looking forward to?
I’m excited to be a part of the most recognized real estate company in the Triangle and what I like to call the “dream team” of relocation. Our division has some of the most respected and experienced professionals in the industry. I’m thrilled to be a part of it and can’t wait to see what we are able to accomplish.
We understand you’re active in the community. Define active.
Since this is my life’s work, I’m always wanting to improve upon my skills and connect with other like-minded individuals in the field. I’m very involved in the North Carolina Economic Developers Association, Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Association, Triangle Relocation Council, and the Triangle Society of Human Resource Management. I’m also active in the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce through Economic Development (EDGE), the Education Committee as well as the Chamber Board of Advisors. Additionally, I work closely with the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce and their “Make It Durham” Campaign.
Busy lady! When all is said and done what do you do to relax and unwind?
As a native North Carolinian, a Raleigh resident since 1988, and a graduate of North Carolina State University I’m a loyal Wolfpack fan! In fact, my husband and I are passionate sports fans all around. Along with NCSU, we follow the Carolina Hurricanes and the San Diego Chargers. You can catch us at games or at the very least cheering on our favorite teams from the couch with our sweet rescue dog, Crosby. Heck, I love to spend time with my family and when I’m not watching sports, I’m painting, traveling or cooking.
Thank you, Renee and WELCOME to Fonville Morisey! We’re glad to have you on board.
If you’d like to leave a comment to share your own “welcome” message for Renee, please do!
