This past Sunday was the inaugural race for the newly-formed Midtown Race Series and Fonville Morisey is a proud mile marker sponsor for the event as well as its Charity Challenge. We were there to cheer on the participants and show our support through our digital media efforts as our Digital Media Marketing Director, Lisa Sullivan, snapped Instagram photos, Tweeted, and Facebooked (we know that’s not a REAL word) the activities of the morning. With all that we do to give back to organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, The American Heart Association, the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, we felt this was another great opportunity to give back to local charities. The charities are selected by the sponsors in order to provide a broad range of charitable causes. Each registrant donated to a selected charity upon registration. Each charity then received 100% of the proceeds that were raised and at the end, the charity that raised the most money received a percentage of the proceeds from the race as well! This year’s winning charity was the Children’s Home Society of NC.
